This course is an overview of Menu Planning for the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).  Participants will learn about food crediting in the Summer Food Service Program, Meal Pattern Requirements, and Offer vs. Serve in the SFSP.  1 hour

Serving Safe Summer Meals will teach participants how to handle and serve food safely in the Summer Food Service Program. 1 Hour

Protecting the health and safety of children is critical to the integrity of a Summer Food Service Program. Having the tools needed to keep program foods safe helps support a culture of food safety in the program environment. To support food safety efforts, Kansas State Department of Education Child Nutrition & Wellness is providing a Summer Food Service Program Food Safety Toolkit. This session covers how to train Summer Food Service Program staff to use the supplies included in the Summer Food Service Program Food Safety Toolkit.
